#nowplaying I was made for loving you.

Something about this song that makes me put it on repeat. The guitar, the string ensemble, the emotions... Have a listen :)

A dangerous plan, just this time
A stranger's hand clutched in mine
I'll take this chance, so call me blind
I've been waiting all my life
Please don't scar this young heart
Just take my hand

I was made for loving you
Even though we may be hopeless hearts just passing through
Every bone screaming I don't know what we should do
All I know is, darling, I was made for loving you

Hold me close through the night
Don't let me go, we'll be alright
Touch my soul and hold it tight
I've been waiting all my life
I won't scar your young heart
Just take my hand

Please don't go, I've been waiting so long
Oh, you don't even know me at all
But I was made for loving you

Also loving this mashup of 2 songs :)

FOUND.

Watched this again and the message still speaks to my heart.

University Malaya Christian Fellowship's Easter Production was held on the 7th and 8th of May 2015. I thank God for giving me the opportunity to serve as creative director for this production. Working behind the scenes, I can say with confidence that God was with us throughout the whole process of putting this together. A pleasure for me to work with and learn from humble, committed, forgiving, passionate, talented committee, cast and crew. Did I mention that PKV is the best thing that has happened to me in my uni life? :)

God bless!

Courage

As years go by, I got to know myself better. I see more flaws in me than strengths, maybe it's human, maybe it's just me. Quality time and words of affirmation. Spending time with people who matter, whether it's talking, doing something together, even in those silent moments meant so much to me. Receiving thoughtful notes and a simple wish too. On the other hand, time also drifts people apart when both doesn't make an effort, OR one does, then got tired of doing so. Words that meant to harm, can cause so much damage.

I learned many things the hard way. How very often I fall. What is even the wise thing to do? Joy, where art thou in those times? I reflected a lot. What is wrong with me? or is everything me wrong? I've trusted yet I was doubted. Don't give me empty promises. I've tried. I'm letting go and letting God. cuz I really tried my best. Maybe I should try harder but I didn't. I was selfish. Am I asking too much? I was naive. So hard to put these thoughts into written words. Being in love and loving someone is not the same.

One thing's for sure, I see that God is always faithful to me, He never gave up on me. "For He heals the brokenhearted..."  Thank You, God, for everything. IDK how is this going to turn out but I know what He has in store for me is good.  Here's a video for those who are going through breakup with a special someone or a friend. *hugs*. At one point, it felt like depression. I won't break down so often now when this is mentioned. The healing process was gradual over the past year. This post shall be a reminder to myself. I want to be honest about my past. I will keep the promise I made with God years ago. I will be courageous to face the future :)

While some people I met along the way are meant to be left in the chapter that has closed, I'm grateful and excited that as another chapter begins, we can "Continue to journey together in the Lord through any ups and downs". All the roller-coaster rides together will be worth it, let's go! :)

Travelling to Asia University from University of Malaya (Day 1 in Taiwan)

Some pictures + caption to warm up the Summer Exchange Program @ Asia University (28th of July til 21st of August) Taiwan blog series :)

Gathered in UM Main bus stop at 5am. 100 UM students + 2 ISC officers on this AirAsiaX flight. 4.5 hours from KLIA2 to Taoyuan International Airport.

Lunch provided on the plane. Nasi Lemak.

Arrived Taoyuan International Airport. On the bus hired by Asia University. Off to Taichung! 2.5 hours journey. The view is beautiful, with paddy fields, countryside as we travel towards south.

Box of food to keep hunger away.

Pastries! Enough for my tea break + Next day's breakfast.

Temporary home for 3.5 weeks. Sharing this space with 3 room mates. Study table at the bottom, sleeping area on top.

Shower room and toilet attached. This building is called Blessing Hall (the 2nd dormitory). We will need to move out to Gratitude Hall (1st dormitory) on the 31st of July. It's summer holiday for the University, they are fixing the doors in the 1st dorm so we will stay here for the time being then they will lock this whole building until semester resumes. This uni is super power saving. Air-conditioning system operates from 4pm-6am. Main lights switches off at 23:30. No wifi in the room as they uses LAN. Bring LAN cables if you have it or you can purchase it in Taiwan for about NT$50.

After checking in, we grabbed dinner at 五路鍋聖 - 霧峰店 (Wu Lu Guo Sheng - Wufeng branch)
and that's about it for Day 1 :) Thanks for reading. God bless!

Review: IGGO cafe, Setia Alam.

We always have this big question, that is "WHERE TO EAT?!". Thankfully after recommendations from Mun Yan's friend and some research, we decided to have our catch-up dinner with the secondary school mates + Yuyu's early birthday celebration here at IGGO cafe, Setia Alam. As this post meant to be a review, I posted more personal thoughts and updates here :)

Long table to fit 11 of us.

IGGO cafe Menu Setia Alam
Menu

Roasted Chicken with Mashed Potato and Salad IGGO cafe
Roasted Chicken with Mashed Potato and Salad RM 17.90

Not many cafes I've come across serve Risotto so this is new to me.
Spinach Risotto IGGO Cafe
Spinach Risotto RM16.90

I had this. Rather strong flavour due to the seasonings, doesn't suit my taste but not complaining about it.
Smoked Duck Aglio Olio with Poached Egg IGGO cafe
Smoked Duck Aglio Olio with Poached Egg RM 14.90

The gang ordered more than what is shown in photographs, we were hungry ok LOL. We had Mushroom Aglio Olio, Fish and Chips, Spaghetti Pasta with Chicken Bolognese (not very nice, I tasted some of it, too salty according to Jenie, can't get herself to finish it too),  Spaghetti Pasta with Creamy Chicken Ham.
Drinks: Iced Latte (RM11). Iced chocolate (RM14).

The birthday girl~
Desserts from top left to right then bottom:
Coffee Vanilla Cake RM12, Blueberry cream cheese cake RM11. Panna Cotta RM10.
Chocolate Fudge RM11. Grandma's Tiramisu RM12

My thoughts on IGGO: Great for group meals. Reasonably priced main course though doesn't suit my taste buds. Birthday girl likes the blueberry cheesecake. Overall, there isn't a MUST TRY/EAT food on the menu for me to recommend. They serve water for free.

Yuyu's birthday gathering!

The secondary school friends gathered to celebrate Yuyu's birthday. She definitely have guessed we're celebrating for her but doesn't know how we are carrying it out until it happened LOL. She's graduating too! Legal drug dealer hehe ;)
Pictures from KC's Canon 700D, same model that my family owns :D

Friday night dinner with these peeps. Love the birthday girl ♥

It was lovely catching up with these peeps. We kept switching places to talk to everyone personally cuz 1 person talking and 10 ppl listening is too formal, how cute of us ^_^ So many stories to share! Happy for Cin Yan who found a law firm to chamber (some law jargon I'm not familiar with ops.) and Eu Rick, who just received news before he left for dinner that he passed his paper and now is a chartered accountant.

The ladies

Matching outfits with Yuyu ^_^v oh, and we're graduating this year! *pops confetti* We've come so far... Friendship since Primary school and still counting! ♥ I bet you can find our younger selves pics somewhere in my older blog posts haha! This blog is like my memory keeper :)

Yan Wei! I haven't seen her since we graduated from secondary school! I was at Hong Kong but she was on an exchange program in UK. We kinda lost touch but it's so good to just catch-up and reconnect again. She's going back to HK soon to continue her studies after internship. Til we meet again :)

This event took place at  at IGGO cafe, Setia Alam. I wrote a review of the cafe *HERE*. First time writing such a review on my blog. Usually, I'll put in pictures, write about life, friendships, thoughts... all that is rather personal than informative. Then, when I did some research on places to travel for my summer exchange in Taiwan (yes, I'm back!), most blog posts I came across has too many personal pictures that it lacks of the travel insights I was hoping to get. I want my blog to help those who need an honest review, also, blogging is my channel to express myself. Hence, the slight change in my style of blogging, all information 1 post, sentimental thoughts *ceh* in another LOL. Let's see if this works better for me:)

Thanks for reading. God bless you! ♥
